The 2026 VFL season will be played between Friday, March 2 and Sunday, September 20, when it concludes with the VFL Grand Final. Here is your guide to watching every game on TV, or live streaming state league Aussie Rules online.
The Footscray Bulldogs were premiers of the VFL last year defeating Southport at IKON Park to secure the premiership.
Most rounds of the VFL season will see 10 matches played, with one club having a bye. They are generally split into at least one Friday, approximately six on Saturday and three on Sunday, although there can be differences from time to time.
Under the terms of the VFL TV deal, Kayo Sports, ABC and Seven Network will broadcast matches. Kayo will broadcast 16 matches across the first 13 rounds of the season, while the ABC will broadcast one game per round, often on Saturday afternoon.
How to watch the VFL on TV in Australia
VFL broadcast partner ABC will show a weekly game plus finals, live and free on ABC in Victoria.
ABC can be found on digital TV at Channel 2 in standard definition or on Channel 20/21 in high definition.
Fox Footy will broadcast 16 matches in the first 13 rounds of the season, while Channel 7 will broadcast all 10 Tasmania VFL home games on Seven Tasmania.

Every VFL match will be live-streamed via afl.com.au, while Kayo Sports will live-stream the VFL across the first 13 rounds, with a subscription required. ABC matches will also be covered via streaming service ABC iview.
All 10 Tasmania VFL home games in 2026 will be streamed on 7 Plus nationally, and can be viewed locally on Seven Tasmania.
