In the wake of reuniting with the St Kilda Football Club, Lenny Hayes and Robert Harvey, recently reinstated Saints coach Ross Lyon appears set to add another trusted lieutenant to his congregation.

According to reports from Peter Ryan of The Age, former conditioning coach David Misson is likely to return to Moorabbin to perform the role of Head of Performance.

Misson worked closely with Lyon during St Kilda's near misses in 2009 and 2010, even chronicling the club's inner narrative within his book 'The Bubble'.

Since departing Linton Street, Misson has held roles with both the Melbourne Demons and the Sydney Roosters.

Misson had also worked with the Sydney Swans during Paul Roos' reign, as well as the Australian Cricket team.

While Lyon's weight of influence has already been felt throughout the corridors of RSEA Park, former Giants assistant and current club fitness boss Nick Walsh looks set to be retained under the 'new' regime.

Walsh's influence on the Saints' improved endurance was hailed during the opening portion of the 2022 season, with St Kilda holding an 8-3 record and a place in the top four at the bye.
