Untried midfielder Luke Urquhart was one of the most impressive players in North Melbourne's intra-club on Friday evening, with his power and running capacity standing out.

The Western Australian was selected with pick 57 in the 2024 AFL National Draft and averaged 14 disposals in the VFL last year.

The highlight of his day at Arden St was running goal from outside 50 where he broke away from a contest.

Cooper Trembath was the standout tall forward, providing an imposing presence in attack and showing his vertical leap to prove he deserves a best 23 spot.

Intriguingly, the 2025 Mid-Season draftee started in North Melbourne's intra-club 'B' team as the Roos preferred the combination of skipper Nick Larkey, veteran Jack Darling and Callum Coleman-Jones in its best forward line. Jack Darling kicked the first two goals of the game.

It's despite the 20-year-old playing the last three games of 2025 and kicking three goals in each outing and having improved his conditioning over summer.

Trembath did, however, switch to the blue team after halftime and was imposing throughout the game, suggesting he's set to build on a promising start to his AFL career.

Luke Davies-Uniacke and Harry Sheezel were typically classy and made things happen.

Matt Whitlock kicked five goals for the 'B' team, highlighting the Roos' key forward depth.

Lachy Dovaston continued to press his case for a Round 1 debut, kicking three third quarter goals after having impressed as an energiser bunny willing to work up the ground.

Young tall Taylor Goad also showed his upside, while Griffin Logue was an important general in defence.

North Melbourne followed the four 25-minute periods with scenario-based training.
