Rioli still in contention for Suns switch

Carlton trio Jack Carroll, Matt Owies and Jack Martin continue to face unknown futures at Princes Park as they remain without deals for 2025.

The players Sydney could chase

Sydney find themselves well-placed for a premiership this year, but there may be an area of their list they look to improve to strengthen their flag prospects.

The Swans have managed an extremely successful signing period in 2024, locking away all of Logan McDonald, Errol Gulden, Will Hayward, James Rowbottom and Oliver Florent to new deals this year.

Unlikely to be major players in the trade and free agency space due to their strong retention run, we look at some of the bargain options the Swans could consider in the off-season to help build out their backline.

Demons among clubs circling unsigned West Coast youngster

Off-contract West Coast defender Harry Edwards is said to be in the sights of rival clubs, with Melbourne among the sides showing interest, perย 7 News' Ryan Daniels.

Edwards is still without a deal for 2025 with just three games remaining in the season - a campaign that has seen the 23-year-old play some of the best football in his short career.

Clubs in need of a key defender are beginning to show interest in Edwards, who sits behind Jeremy McGovern and Tom Barrass in the Eagles' pecking order.

Barrass' potential interest may shift the dynamic however, with Edwards likely a needed asset should Barrass leave.

Cats to offer Waterman long-term deal

Geelong's interest in contracted West Coast forward Jake Waterman is reportedly set to see the Victorian club prepare to offer a long-term deal to the Coleman Medal contender.

Contending clubs Geelong and Melbourne are said to be interested in Waterman's services and could look to tempt the Eagles with offers circling around a first-round draft selection.

According toย The West Australian,ย Geelong are ready to make an offer for Waterman that would secure the Eagles sharpshooter on a long-term deal.
