Giants forward Callum Brown has shunned interest from the Melbourne Demons to remain in Western Sydney for another three years.
The former County Derry Gaelic footballer has enjoyed a steady rise to prominence for the Giants. His imposing physical frame, explosive athleticism and cleanliness at ground level and above his head make him an awkward matchup for opposition defenders.
In a forward line boasting modern-day greats like Toby Greene, the reigning Coleman medallist in Jesse Hogan, an enigmatic entertainer in Jake Stringer and a key forward of the future in Aaron Cadman, Brown has carved out a niche for himself, becoming a mainstay under Adam Kingsley.
In Kingsley's first year in charge, Brown set a high benchmark for himself, featuring in 19 matches, and averaging a goal a game. In 2024, he enjoyed another strong campaign, kicking 17 goals across 13 matches, continuously providing a consistent threat inside forward 50.
The signature comes on the back of a rich vein of form for the athletic prospect, who's kicked multiple goals in six of the last nine weeks, providing a pivotal avenue to goal in the Giants' push to September.

Giants executive general manager of football, Jason McCartney, was full of praise for Brown in the wake of his re-signing.
“He arrived at the club as a teenager from Ireland with very little exposure to AFL, but what he's achieved through his work ethic, commitment and natural ability has been remarkable," McCartney said.
“He's now a core part of our forward group and someone we can rely on week in, week out to impact the scoreboard and apply pressure and it's really pleasing to have him secured for another three years.”
Brown's signature represents yet another vote of confidence in both Kingsley, and the club's direction, with Toby Bedford, Darcy Jones, Finn Callaghan and Cadman also committing their futures to GWS in recent months.
