Port Adelaide defender Rory Atkins will hang up the boots at the completion of the 2025 season after 13 years in the AFL.
Atkins began his journey at the Adelaide Crows in 2013 following his Pick 81 selection in the National Draft the year before.
Locking down a position at the Crows for eight seasons, including a pivotal role in the club's rise to the 2017 grand final, the classy left-footer made a change following the first season impacted by COVID-19 (2020).
Atkins moved to the Sunshine State and joined Gold Coast for four seasons, but struggled to make a meaningful impact, adding 37 games to his 101 at the Crows.
Featuring only three more times, the 31-year-old was drawn back to South Australia when a mega trade involving the Suns, Power and Collingwood was struck, which saw Jack Lukosius join him at Alberton as well as Pies forward Joe Richards.

Dan Houston and John Noble also found new homes.
"I'm so grateful for the three clubs that have given me opportunities to play AFL football," Atkins said.
"Adelaide took a chance on me in the draft, and both Gold Coast and Port Adelaide allowed me to play the game I love for as long as I could.
"I've had nine head coaches in my time in the system, and each one of them has had an impact on me in some way, which I'm really thankful for.
"The time now feels right to finish up my career. My partner, Georgia and our daughter Daisy mean everything to me, and I'm excited for this next chapter for me and my family.
The move to Port Adelaide saw Atkins join a rare group, becoming just the seventh player to represent the Power and Crows. Collingwood's Billy Frampton is also included in that collective.

Port Adelaide GM of Football Chris Davies was thankful for Atkins' contribution to the club in 2025.
"Over the past year, Rory has brought strong leadership qualities and a positive attitude to the club," Davies said.
"He has also been a fantastic mentor for our younger developing players at SANFL level.
"We wish Rory, Georgia and Daisy all the best for the future. On behalf of the club, we congratulate Rory on his AFL career."
