Today is the great Tony Lockett's 50th birthday.

Lockett holds the record for the most goals in the history of the VFL/AFL competition, with 1,360 goals in 281 games, with St Kilda and Sydney.

He won four Coleman Medals, was a five-time All-Australian, two-time St Kilda best and fairest winner, Sydney best and fairest winner and a Brownlow Medal winner.

He is also in both the St Kilda and Sydney Teams of the Century and is a Legend in the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
