2024 rank: 29

Newcombe had a September to remember in an individual sense, recording some of the highest-rated finals performances in recent memory.

It backed up a career-year for the 24-year-old, averaging 22.4 disposals, 5.9 clearances, 5.9 score involvements and 5.1 tackles per game.

Hawthorn's midfield has taken a hit this off-season with the departure of James Worpel and failed trade attempt for Zach Merrett, but Newcombe's form in the middle should hold the Hawks in good stead, both offensively and defensively.
