The 2025 Grand Final was, for the most part, a scintillating contest between the Cats and Lions and saw Brisbane claim a second consecutive premiership.

5Levi Ashcroft goal
The second term was a see-saw affair as both team's wrestled to gain momentum.
A superb 60-metre bomb from stalwart Shannon Neale saw the Cats end Brisbane's run of three straight goals, but they couldn't keep the Lions off the scoreboard for long, as Levi Ashcroft quickly returned serve with a launch of his own.
His agility saw him out-manoeuvre Tom Atkins, before striking the Sherrin toward goal from 50-metre out, getting just enough carry to put Brisbane's lead back out to seven points.
