The best part about entering a new footy season is that it's a fresh slate - every club starts from zero.

Optimism is high as fans relish in the prospect of their club making some form of improvement on last year, whether that's contending for a premiership, returning to September action, or seeing young players blossom into genuine superstars to push a rebuild forward.

However, there are also doubts. Lists have been reshaped, coaches have tweaked their systems, and with those changes comes an uncomfortable question that will refuse to subside until the 2026 season is underway.

So, what is the harsh question pressing at the front of your team's mind? Below is every club's burning question heading into 2026...

The Moorabbin club have left no stone unturned as they targeted four high-profile players from rival sides, resulting in acquiring Tom De Koning, Jack Silvagni, Sam Flanders and Liam Ryan.

Their do-as-we-want attitude also stirred up GWS defender Leek Aleer, who returned to the Giants with his tail between his legs as the Saints turned away from their long-term interest.

Nevertheless, St Kilda has been forthright in its desire to bring in high-end talent to help improve its chances of making meaningful pushes towards an elusive premiership.

All four recruits add unique and varying skillsets to the club, assisting every line.

De Koning will pair with Rowan Marshall, despite his attempt to join Geelong, which will bolster their ruck stocks as well as add more tall timber in the front half where needed, especially given Max King's uncertainty.

Silvagni will sure up the defensive unit alongside Callum Wilkie, while Sam Flanders is another emerging on-baller who is capable of competing against the best.

Ryan adds a distinctive element as a hybrid forward, having played largely as a small forward who is a great aerialist.

Bold is the new black, and the Saints will find out whether their fearless strategy will pay off.
