9. The Watsons
The Watson father-son duo is easily the best in Essendon's 154-year history. The two generations of Watsons are natural leaders, with both captaining the 16-time premiers throughout their respective careers.
Tim Watson is one of the league's all-time greats, ranking fourth in the Bombers' all-time games played (307) and placing top 15 in the club's all-time goalkicking charts (335). The ruck-rover was arguably the league's best player in 1989, winning the player's MVP award, earning team of the year selection, topping Essendon's best and fairest count and finishing top three in the Brownlow. 'The Whisp' overall has three premierships, two team of the year honours, four best and fairests and is a feature in both Essendon's team of the century and the Australian Football Hall of Fame.

Despite never winning a premiership like his father, Jobe is nevertheless a significant figure in the Bombers' recent history. During his 15-year tenure, the famous number four played 220 games, kicked 113 goals, won two best and fairests and captained the club for seven years. He also received two All-Australian blazers and was voted the AFL's best captain in 2012. Testament to his consistency and longevity is his remarkable eleven-season stretch of averaging at least 23 disposals, four tackles, four marks and five clearances per game. Jobe's best season came in 2012, where he averaged a monstrous 29 disposals, seven clearances, 4.8 tackles, 4.8 marks and kicked a total of 20 goals. Jobe is in discussion alongside Matthew Lloyd and Zach Merrett as arguably the greatest Bomber of the 21st century.
The Watsons combine for 527 games, 448 goals, four All-Australians, seven best and fairests and 10 years in captaincy.

Couldn’t manage to get the Silvagni name in there Dale?
Not a great effort Dale.
You include uncles and cousins – but ONLY if they have the same name. A few extra moment of research would have told you that the Ablett famil also includes Michael, Travis and Tuck.
While the Watson family includes Seb Ross.
