The Tasmania Devils have nabbed a highly touted AFL figure to bolster their off-field ranks, securing the services of Hawthorn recruiter and AFLW list manager, Mitch Cashion.

According to AFL Media's Callum Twomey, Cashion has been lured to the Apple Isle, and is set to join the Devils' recruiting team, which consists of list boss Todd Patterson and recruiting manager Derek Hine.

The latter pair were officially announced as members of Tasmania's off-field staff in May, with Hine, who has spent most of his career as a National Recruiter and List Manager, joining Tasmania after a highly accomplished two-decade-long stint at the Magpies.

The addition of Cashion to Tasmania's football department signifies the beginning stages of their list build, as the club can officially begin preparations for 2028 next year.
