Untried Sydney youngster Ned Bowman has been sidelined for eight weeks after suffering a hamstring injury.

Bowman was taken from Friday's intra-club, adding to the injury woes at the Swans.

He joined the club via the 2024 draft, where he was taken with Pick 26. Bowman also signed an extension last year until the end of 2027.

The 19-year-old had been impressing over the pre-season, with this latest setback pushing his debut chances to after the beginning of the 2026 campaign.

Last week, the club confirmed that veteran Harry Cunningham and youngster Jevan Phillipou were out with injury.

Phillipou's return timeline is five to seven weeks after sustaining a quad injury in match play last week, while Cunningham will miss at least a month.

Midfielder Taylor Adams is also working his way back from an Achilles injury from the pre-season.

Adams partially tore his Achilles tendon leading into the Christmas break, before he was involved in a nightclub altercation that left him knocked unconscious in January.

However, CEO Matthew Pavlich and star teammate Isaac Heeney both confirmed that the former Pie has been building his loads towards the beginning of the season.

"It was a nasty incident, and we did support Taylor as best we could through that period," Pavlich said last week.

"Through that period, it was a tough one for him mentally. He's in good shape. Obviously rocked him when the incident happened, and he's worked his way through that.

"Physically, with his Achilles, he's on track. He's running. He's one that's further behind, clearly. But speaking to him, he's ready."
