Sydney's Brodie Grundy would be a worthy All-Australian recipient for his efforts in 2025, and his performance on Saturday against Essendon furthered that claim.
Following the Swans' heavy defeat in last year's grand final, Grundy and his side struggled in the opening rounds of the new season.
But as the former Pie and Demon regained his form, so did the proud club, who made an almighty push towards September once again.
Grundy has ranked among the best players over the past eight weeks in the competition, and that is reflected by how the coaches have seen it.
The 31-year-old has polled 55 votes since Round 13, placing him eighth on the leaderboard, and the highest non-midfielder in the top 10.
Grundy is set to add more to his tally after recording a game-high 39 disposals, 13 clearances, 32 hit-outs, eight marks and nine score involvements in the 14-point win over the Bombers.
"He put in a really good pre-season and a block to work on his endurance, and not only with his ability to cover the ground," Cox said.
"His intensity around the ball has been probably a big highlight for a long period of time, certainly this year anyway, and he's got back to that. He's fully confident in his ability.

"He's had a very, very impressive season and continues to play his role extremely well for this footy team."
Grundy was an All-Australian in 2018 and 2019 at the Pies alongside champion Max Gawn, but has since battled with injury and form before his pair of moves via trade.
In 2025, the South Australian has reclaimed his ascendancy over the competition, with his deft tap work and trademark follow-up giving All-Australian selectors something to consider.
Gawn is arguably leading the pack of ruckmen for the blazer, which would tie for the most alongside Patrick Dangerfield, Mark Riccuto, Lance Franklin, Robert Harvey and Gary Ablett Jr.
Tristan Xerri, Darcy Cameron and Tim English have all had stellar seasons.
