The SuperCoach season is well and truly heating up with some big scores and some big injuries to some popular players throughout the ANZAC round.

Popular ruckmen selections in Brodie Grundy and Jack Hayes were struck down with long-term injuries whilst the first double-ton score of the season was achieved on Monday with star Swan Callum Mills amassing a whopping 214 SuperCoach points.

After an exciting round, it's time to look ahead to next week and see who to buy, hold and sell as Round 7 nears.

BREAKEVENS: EVERY PLAYER, EVERY BREAKEVEN

BUY

Sam Hayes ($123,900) (RUC)

The young Port ruckman will find his way into a lot of teams this week after the 23-year old scored 94 SuperCoach points on the weekend, taking his average to 84.5 points per game across the first two games of his career.

He's on the bubble this week, with a breakeven of -97 and a projected price rise of $81.5k, so he won't be this cheap after the next round.

Number one Port ruckman Scott Lycett will miss a majority of the season with a shoulder injury, so Hayes will be the leading tall at the club, proving strong job security for owners that select him this week.

With rookie Jack Hayes going down for the year and Brodie Grundy out for three months, Hayes looms as the perfect ruck downgrade target heading into Round 7.

Jarrod Witts ($530,900) (RUC)

The Gold Coast ruckman is enjoying an impressive season so far, averaging an impressive 114.3 SuperCoach points per games across the first six games of the season.

Witts is second in scoring for ruckman in 2022 behind only Max Gawn, but is only in 18.7% of teams.

This will likely change as Witts looks to be the logical trade across for Brodie Grundy owners this weeks, with over 4,000 coaches already making the move and bringing the big ruckman into their side.

Witts currently has a breakeven of 77 and a projected price rise of $10.2k, so at a respectable price now, it'd be wise to hop on.

Callum Mills ($632,900) (MID)

Mills just put on the best SuperCoach performance of the year so far with a 214-point effort against the Hawks on ANZAC Day.

Mills had 37 disposals, 11 marks, five tackles, nine inside 50's, six clearances, one goal and went at 91% efficiency, which is a very impressive stat line.

The gun Swans midfielder has become one of the best midfielders in the competition but is only in 1.7% of teams.

Now is the best time to get Mills, due to his low breakeven of 36 and projected price rise of $47.8k putting him on track to be the most expensive player in the competition by next round.

If you have the extra cash to fork out for Mills, it would be the perfect point of difference for owners looking to separate themselves from the pack.

HOLD

Nathan O'Driscoll ($288,300) (DEF/MID)

The young Fremantle defender has been a great cash cow over recent weeks for owners, increasing $164.4k in three weeks.

O'Driscoll had a sub par game on the weekend, only scoring 42 points which would have dissapointed owners who brought him in over back-to-back ton scores from the youngster.

With still a low breakeven of 22 and a projected price rise of $18.2k, it's still worth holding O'Driscoll due to his high scoring potential and cash production.

Zak Butters ($439,900) (FWD/MID)

Butters made his way onto the hold list a couple of weeks ago and he's made it here again.

The Port youngster's inconsistency is becoming concerning for owners but he's worth holding as his scoring potential is so high, still averaging 92.2 points with three scores over 100 but also three scores below 60.

If Port's form can improve as the season goes on, Butters' form will look to do so as well.

The 21-year-old's breakeven is still at a manageable 67 and is still projected to rise $12.4k in price.

Hold and hope for some consistency from Butters.

Patrick McCartin ($268,700) (DEF/FWD)

Most owners would be quick to trade out the former number one pick, and it's understandable as he was concussed and will miss a week due to health and safety protocols.

McCartin has been a solid cash cow at a rookie price, increasing $110.9k across four weeks whilst averaging 63 points per game.

If McCartin only misses a week, then holding may be a suitable option for placing him on your bench for the week, especially if other areas such as the ruck continues to be a dilemma for owners.

He still has a breakeven of 44 and a projected price rise of $8.1k, so keeping him on your bench in defence may be the safest option.

SELL

Brodie Grundy ($544,500) (RUC)

The star Pies ruckman unfortunately suffered a PCL injury in Monday's ANZAC Day clash, meaning he'll miss the next 10-12 weeks and will have to be traded out of sides this week for another ruckman.

Grundy hasn't set the world on fire in 2022, averaging 103.5 SuperCoach points per game which is well down on his averages from a few years ago.

He has still been a popular pick and is still in 39.5% of teams this year, but has been traded out by over 24,000 owners so far this week, and other owners should follow suit.

A downgrade to Braydon Preuss or Sam Hayes seems popular whilst a straight swap for Jarrod Witts seems to be a likely solution for a lot of owners this week.

Jack Hayes ($258,800) (FWD/RUC)

The mature-aged rookie out of the SANFL has been a revelation for SuperCoach owners since the start of the season.

The 25-year old was averaging 89.3 points per game through the first five rounds of the season, before going down with an unfortunate ACL injury on Friday night, meaning the 71.3% of owners in SuperCoach will have to part ways with the talented Saint.

40,000 owners have already traded out Hayes and more will continue to do so as the week progresses.

Malcolm Rosas and Sam Hayes seem popular players to bring in at Hayes' expense.

Josh Rachele ($290,600) (MID/FWD)

Rachele made his way onto the trade chopping block three weeks ago, and he lands himself here again due to his inconsistent SuperCoach scoring.

The crafty small forward from the Crows is a sublime talent, kicking 12 goals in his first six games, which has resulted in some big SuperCoach scores, but unfortunately the consistency is not there and he relies on goal scoring to get points.

Has a high breakeven of 85 and is projected to lose $12.4k, so for the 63.5% of owners in the competition that still have Rachele, if you didn't get rid of him three weeks ago then get rid of him now.
