Ben Keays had 30 disposals, nine tackles and kicked two goals for the Lions, while Jarrad Jansen had 25 disposals, as well as nine tackles.
Jordan Foote was impressive for Sydney with 27 disposals, while youngster Jordan Dawson recorded a team high 28 touches.
Axed ruckman Kurt Tippett may find it hard to get back into the senior side, he finished with 15 disposals, three marks, two tackles and 41 hitouts.
