Western Bulldogs will unveil yet another father-son prospect, Jordan Croft, against West Coast at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
Croft became a second-generation Bulldog following his Pick 15 selection in the 2023 National Draft, with the club matching Sydney's bid on the night.
The athletic prospect has followed in his father Matthew's footsteps, who played 186 games for the Bulldogs between 1991 and 2004.
Jordan Croft has showcased his incredible endurance, mobility, versatility and marking at VFL level.
He has played 21 games in the VFL over the past two years and has slotted 28 goals. His past month has seen him hit the scoreboard more frequently, tallying a dozen majors to put his name into selection consideration.
"It caught me off guard a little bit," Croft said.
"Super ecstatic to play this week... I've been surrounded by great players, key forwards like Sam and Naughty, who have a wealth of knowledge... I just got to keep learning and be able to get the opportunity is super exciting for me and my family.
"(Dad) was taken aback. A lot of them didn't believe I was actually playing."
Croft will follow the footsteps of fellow father-son guns to don the tri-colours at the elite level.
Sam Darcy (son of Luke) and Rhylee West (Scott) have begun making names for themselves in the AFL, and the former is deemed one of the most exciting talents in the competition.
Veteran midfielder Tom Liberatore (Tony) has continued his father's legacy, and helped achieve the ultimate success in 2016 that the club had been starved of.
Former Bulldogs players Ayce and Zaine Cordy (Brian) featured for the club, as did Mitch Wallis (Stephen) and Lachie Hunter (Mark).
Father-daughter star Isabella Grant (Chris) continued the family's dominance on the football field.
Sunday's clash against the Eagles is a must-win for Luke Beveridge's men, who sit a game outside the eight.
A likely victory over the 2025 wooden spooners should keep the Bulldogs in finals contention, with a mouthwatering match-up against Fremantle in Round 24 to decide their fate.
