The Western Bulldogs have provided an update on the injuries suffered by Tim English, Ed Richards and Arthur Jones on Sunday night.

Ed Richards was a late withdrawal from the clash, failing to take the field. The club has offered that it is tendon-related, with no firm timeline forthcoming.

Tim English has an MCL issue, picked up in the third quarter of the win, with the club yet to determine his return to play timeline, either.

Livewire forward Arthur Jones was influential in the victory, and has emerged as an important cog in a forward line still missing the electricity of Cody Weightman. However, the forward suffered another injury setback, with a low-level hamstring complaint expected to sideline him for a month at most, and a fortnight at least.

It leaves Luke Beveridge and co with selection headaches, as Gather Round approaches. 2025 draftee Louis Emmett appears in the frame to replace English in the ruck. The Dogs' engine room will look markedly different without English and Richards, while Tom Liberatore is already out of the side with an injury of his own.

It's been a charmed run to start the year for the Dogs, and early sledding indicates that they are odds-on favourites to achieve the one thing that has eluded Beveridge in a storied coaching career - a top four finish.

The Bulldogs renew hostilities with the Hawthorn Hawks, on Saturday night.
