Richmond has unveiled a new set of numbers for multiple players heading into the 2026 season.
Reigning Pick 1 Sam Lalor has snared the famous No.4, succeeding three-time Norm Smith medallist Dustin Martin after a year in retirement.
Lalor has long been linked with the Tiger great, mainly due to his football prowess and match-winning ability, resonating closely with the Punt Road faithful.
He donned the No.22 in his maiden season, but will move lockers ahead of 2026.
"There is some great (number four) history within the Club. I wore it as a kid growing up and can not wait to wear it for the first time," Lalor added.
"I look up to him (Martin) a lot, obviously try to base my game off him a fair bit, and he had such an impact at Richmond.
"Hopefully, I can try and play a bit like him, and yeah, he is one of the players I looked at growing up. So it is a massive honour to wear his number."
Top 2024 draftee and key forward Jonty Faull will be reintroduced in the club's famous No.8, which was put on standby for the past two seasons following the retirement of Jack Riewoldt at the end of 2023.
Riewoldt wore the number for 17 seasons, following in the footsteps of former stars such as Dick Clay and Michael Roach.
Faull wore 26 in his maiden season.
Fellow draftee Luke Trainor has shaved off 20 from his guernsey, going from 31 to 11.
Trainor will don the digits previously worn by Joel Bowden and premiership Tiger Jason Castagna.
Fellow 100-game players Bert Foster, Tom Simpson, Bruce Monteath, Syd Reeves and Charlie Priestly also donned the jumper.
A third draftee from the 2024 class Taj Hotton has also upgraded his number, taking over flag hero Shane Edwards' No.10.
Hotton overcame an ACL injury to play seven games in the back half of the year, where he was wearing No.24.
Breakout defender Sam Banks has changed lockers as well, going from No.41 to the vacant 6.
Robbie Tarrant was the most recent Tiger to wear the guernsey, but was notably worn by Shaun Grigg, Mark Caffey and Chris Naish.
Youngster Liam Fawcett, who was previously No.37 in 2025, has moved up the order to the vacant 43.
Recently delisted forward Jacob Bauer wore those digits for three years.
