Gold Coast vice-captain Touk Miller has agreed to terms on a deal that will see him call Carrara home until the cessation of the 2027 season.

Miller's signature is the first of many that the Suns will be desperate to obtain over the next 12-months and comes off the back of a season in which he found the ball at will.

The former pick 29 cobbled together a sterling season for Stuart Dew's side, finishing with a seasonal average of 32-disposals and earning his maiden All Australian blazer.

Speaking with the club's media team, Miller explained that the honour of tieing his future to the club was not lost on him.

“I’m super grateful and humbled to be extending my contract for another five years,” the Victorian told goldcoastfc.com.au.

“I think it’s a really exciting time to be a part of this club and what we’re going to do going forward, so I was absolutely over the moon to extend.

“To see success at this club, I think it’s really important that I’m here for that and I get to be a part of that, it will be pretty special.”

While the Suns once again failed to earn a place in the eight, Miller's blistering form saw him break the AFL record for the most consecutive games with 30 or more disposals during his run of 16-games between Rounds 6 and 23.

The Calder Cannons product will have a chance to add to this sublime streak when Gold Coast commence their 2022 campaign.

Although Miller was able to elevate his name amongst the stars of the competition this season, the St. Kevins graduate was keen to help others around him follow suit.

“I think moving forward there’s still so much growth and opportunity,” Miller said.

“Now that I’ve had a taste for that success individually I’d love to transfer that to more success for the team.

“I think as the team gets better, I’ll get better, my teammates will get better.

“We’ve got some players in our team that are going to be far greater than I am as a player and that’s off the back of us being really successful as a team and working together really strongly.

“I’m looking forward to that, it’s going to be an unbelievable journey and an unbelievable ride.”

The news of the 25-year-old's recommittal will be welcomed north of the Tweed following a week in which the expansion club have been in the crosshairs over Hugh Greenwood's peculiar crossing to North Melbourne.
