Richmond defender Jayden Short has been pulled from the club's Sunday clash against North Melbourne with a knee injury, and will be replaced by Kaleb Smith.
For the second consecutive week, Short appeared destined to feature for the Tigers, but ultimately came up short as the final teams were set to be announced.
The 29-year-old was listed as a test for this week, needing to get through training to get the green light to face the Kangaroos.
Jayden Short (knee) has been replaced in the squad of 26 by Kaleb Smith.
Richmond will confirm its team of 23 to face North Melbourne at 5pm tonight.

But ahead of the final teams announcement at 5:00pm on Friday, Short won't be taking his place.
Campbell Gray and untried youngster Jasper Alger have been included in the 26-man squad.
North Melbourne brought Zac Fisher, Wil Dawson and Will Phillips into their extended side.
Richmond is looking for the fourth victory of 2025, claiming scalps against Carlton, Gold Coast and more recently, West Coast.
The Kangaroos got close to defeating the reigning premiers in Round 9, but the pair of clubs could not be split.
The drawn contest broke up a six-game losing streak, which followed the club's Round 2 smashing of Melbourne.
