Richmond father-son prospect Patrick Naish has led from the front in Vic Metro's 22-point win over Vic Country in round three of the 2017 U18 Championships.

Naish collected 24 disposals, took nine marks and booted two goals in a man-of-the-match performance leading Metro to the win at Punt Road Oval.

The son of former Tiger Chris - who played 143 games for Richmond between 1990-1997, has been working with the club as part of their development program, and looms as a potential top-20 pick.

Charlie Constable and Jack Higgins helped guide Metro to the win with their performances in the midfield, with Constable (31 disposals, six marks, six inside 50s) and Higgins (30 disposals, two goals) alongside Naish in the bests.

Recruiters also had their eyes on talented 17-year-old Will Sutherland, who is still tossing up between a cricket career or pursing his football dreams.

James Worpal (25 disposals, 10 tackles, one goal) and Gryan Miers (24 touches, two goals) were Country's best, as they lost their first match of the Championships.

Both sides will host interstate opposition next Friday at Etihad Stadium, with Metro hosting South Australia, while Country will welcome Western Australia.
