Fremantle are looking to make a last-minute move to bring Tim Kelly to the Dockers instead of his preferred destination, West Coast.

Kelly has requested a move to the Eagles, although the Dockers have picks 14 and 31, which could be a better bundle of picks than the Eagles could offer the Cats.

Speaking on Trade Radio, Kane Cornes said the Dockers are throwing their hat in the ring for Kelly, who would still be able to return home by playing for Fremantle.

Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich said the Dockers won't "die wondering" around the Kelly deal.

"We're certainly in there punching, we'll continue to monitor Tim. We've had discussions with Geelong today, the most likely situation is that he will be an Eagles or Cats player. But we won't die wondering next year if he stays at Geelong."
