Essendon mid-season pick-up Lachlan Blakiston was charged with rough conduct on Richmond's Tim Taranto during Saturday's shock loss to Richmond.

Blakiston was fined $3,000 ($2,000 guilty plea) for the third quarter charge, after the MRO deemed the incident as careless conduct, low impact and high contact.

Western Bulldogs forward Sam Darcy has also avoided any penalty after speculation surrounding his shove on Adelaide defender Jordon Butts.

Butts suffered a collapsed lung in the Crows' victory, and was subbed out in the second term.

There were no charges from Friday's contest between Gold Coast and Collingwood, while earlier in the round, Zac Bailey was offered a one-match suspension for his bump on Nick Haynes.

And Carlton's Adam Cerra was directly referred to the Tribunal for a fourth charge of careless contact with an umpire.
