Collingwood gun forward Jamie Elliott is making waves in the competition with his breathtaking form, slotting 28 goals in the first 11 matches of 2025.
Elliott has never clocked a 40-goal season before, but is on track to reach the feat, as well as put his name forward for a maiden All-Australian blazer.
As a result, a watch has been placed on reigning premiers Brisbane, and if they "reignite" their pursuit of the crafty forward.
"Nearly landed at Brisbane in 2019," AFL Media's Cal Twomey said.
"We all remember the shots of him touring the Gabba. He was close to going there but ended up re-signing with the Pies.

"I'm keeping a very close eye on Brisbane reigniting its interest in Elliott. He spent time living in Queensland as a kid, before his AFL career kicked off.
"May harbour ambitions to head there post career as well, and spend some time up there.
"The Lions have Lincoln McCarthy, out of contract, coming after back-to-back ACLs, so I think they'll be looking to upgrade that position.
"Jamie Elliott is available. He's had interest in the past. No contract offer from the Pies."
Elliott was nearly swayed to return to Queensland after spending multiple years there with his family during his formative years, but ultimately denied the Lions' advances.
He flirted with the idea of moving clubs amid a string of injuries that saw him sit out the entire 2018 season, whilst also failing to play a full year at any given time.
After the departure of Joe Daniher, Brisbane is on the lookout to bolster their forward stocks, whilst also finding another marking target. West Coast's Oscar Allen is on the radar.
The Pies have yet to engage in talks with a host of experienced players, with a total of 18 players yet to sign on the dotted line.
Among those are Scott Pendlebury, Jeremy Howe, Steele Sidebottom, Mason Cox, Lachie Sullivan, Tom Mitchell, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Billy Frampton, Brody Mihocek and Brayden Maynard.
