Back-to-back premiership forward Callum Ah Chee has told the Brisbane Lions of his desire to be traded to the Adelaide Crows.

Per AFL Media's Cal Twomey, the Crows have reportedly offered Ah Chee a five-year contract, which had been suggested to be "significantly better" than Brisbane's offer back in August.

"It has been expected for some time now, Callum Ah Chee wants to get to the Adelaide Crows on a five-year deal and has informed the Brisbane Lions of his intention," Twomey said on AFL Trade Radio.

"He's got links in South Australia, he's got a good relationship with Murray Davis, the assistant coach of the Crows.

"The five-year deal is a significant aspect of it in terms of the tenure and security that brings. Brisbane also have had four years on the table and the trigger for a fifth but ultimately, he has been won over by the Crows and wants to get there.

"Now it's about what the trade looks like. The picks don't line up at all. I think there will be a dragged-out scenario to the end of deadline day."

Ah Chee kicked 24 goals this season with the Lions, but with Eagles star forward Oscar Allen settled on joining the Lions in 2026, his opportunities may be reduced next season.
