West Coast forward Liam Ryan has officially nominated St Kilda as his preferred club of the future, with the hopes of joining the Saints in this year's trade period.
According to AFL Media's Cal Twomey, Ryan underwent a successful medical assessment this week with the Saints and has now decided he will pursue a move to the Moorabbin-based outfit, with a three-year deal awaiting him.
Ryan is contracted with the Eagles until 2026, however, meaning the two clubs will need to engage in a trade to transact his talents.
Ryan put in his request to be traded from the Eagles nearly a fortnight ago, and while the Saints were the club widely linked with the 28-year-old, he had yet to formally nominate the whereabouts of his new home.
West Coast premiership forward Liam Ryan has settled on St Kilda as his new home and will nominate the Saints as his preferred destination.

He becomes the third player in the past month to officially nominate St Kilda as their next club of choice, with Carlton stars Tom De Koning and Jack Silvagni being lured via free agency.
It has been widely reported that GWS key defender Leek Aleer will also sign with the club following the conclusion of the Giants' September campaign, with St Kilda reportedly offering him a four-year, $3 million contract back in July.
