Fremantle and Western Bulldogs could be set to get key reinforcements for a crunch last fortnight of the season, while a Carlton midfielder is expected to put his name up at the selection table.
Meanwhile, a Melbourne youngster and Richmond first year player are finished for the 2025 season.
Here's all the latest injury news from across the AFL...
Geelong relief
Geelong defender Jack Henry is expected to be available for selection despite being subbed from last week's game with hamstring tightness.
Scans cleared Henry of any injury, while veterans Patrick Dangerfield and Jack Martin could bolster the line-up against Sydney.

Project ruckman Toby Conway will miss the final week of the VFL season after sustaining a right foot injury.
Club stalwarts Mitch Duncan and Cam Guthrie are expected to return through the reserves.
Stringer shot as Giant forward a "test"
Jesse Hogan remains a test for the all-important clash with Gold Coast after missing last week with foot soreness.
Jake Stringer will miss at least three weeks after suffering another hamstring injury, while Brent Daniels and Jack Buclkley are aiming to return in Round 24.
Walsh aiming to return
Carlton midfielder Sam Walsh is eyeing a full training load this week in his quest to return from a foot injury for the final two games of the season.
Teammate Harry Lemmey is also looking to make himself available for selection, while Adam Cerra has been ruled out of the rest of the season after being unable to progress his training loads across the past week.
Pies small forwards to be assessed
Collingwood pair Beau McCreery and Bobby Hill are both chances to be added to the lineup for the Pies' huge clash with Adelaide on Saturday night.
McCreery has been plagued by a hamstring injury, while Hill missed the loss to Hawthorn with illness.
Freo mid a chance to return
Fremantle's Hayden Young is a chance to return after missing the last two games with a groin injury.
Teammate Matthew Johnson remains a week away with an ankle injury.
Josh Weddle update
Hawthorn High Performance Manager Peter Burge provided an update on Josh Weddle, whose return to play remains to be confirmed.
"He's progressed really well through rehab and has started some off-line change of direction, kicking the footy and doing some conditioning to return back into some modified training, hopefully towards the end of next week," Burge said.
"All of this is determined by how the AFL side progresses over the next couple of weeks.
"There will also be a follow-up scan in a week's time which will also add another layer of information that we need so that will also show what we need to see to make that progression. There's a little bit to work through still but looking good at this stage."
Dees youngsters hamstrung
Caleb Windsor's year is over after he suffered a high grade hamstring injury late in Melbourne's loss to Western Bulldogs.
First year player Xavier Lindsay is set to miss Round 23 with hamstring soreness, but the club is optimistic about a Round 24 return.
Veteran defender Jake Lever has been officially ruled out of the year with an ankle injury.
Flanders expected to return
After missing Round 22 with a back complaint, Sam Flanders is expected to train fully and make a return to the Suns' lineup this weekend.
Dan Rioli is edging closer to a return from a leg injury suffered in Round 19.
Lions defender a test
Brisbane's Brandon Starcevich is a chance to be available for the club's match at Optus Stadium on the weekend after missing the Lions' loss to Sydney with hamstring awareness.
Ryan Lester, meanwhile, has come out of concussion protocols, and Kai Lohmann is expected to be back from a calf injury within the next fortnight.
Bulldogs midfielder a test
Western Bulldogs' Adam Treloar could provide important midfield reinforcements for Luke Beveridge's troops as they look to qualify for finals.
“Adam has continued to build a body of work and football training continuity across the last month,” Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell said.
“He completed a second match simulation training session on Saturday.
“We will continue to discuss Adam's plan across this week to determine if he returns to availability for this weekend.”
Meanwhile, Laitham Vandermeer and Josh Dolan are both currently observing concussion protocols.
Young Tigers forward's season done
Richmond tall Tom Sims is set to miss the rest of the 2025 season with an elbow injury sustained in the Tigers' VFL clash with Sandringham.
“Sadly, for Simsy, that will end his season,” Richmond High Performance Manager Ben Serpell said.
“Essentially, he sustained a ulnar collateral ligament, similar to the MCL in your knee that Jonty (Faull) sustained, but it is in his elbow.
“Thankfully, he doesn't have to have surgery, so he will be fine and ready to go for day one of pre-season.”
Dow undergoes surgery
Midfielder Paddy Dow has had surgery after breaking his collarbone in Sandy's VFL loss on Saturday night.
It's a blow for the youngster who was closing in on an AFL return, included in the Saints' extended AFL squad on the weekend, but he is expected to be ready for the start of pre-season.
Ruck enters concussion protocols
Sydney ruck Brodie Grundy has entered concussion protocols after presenting with delayed symptoms following a head knock in the fourth quarter of Sydney's win over Brisbane.
He is set to therefore miss this weekend in a blow for the Swans, given he has been in All-Australian form in the second half of the season.
Young defender a test
West Coast's Harry Edwards is a chance to return for the Round 23 match against the Western Bulldogs, having missed Round 22 with foot soreness.
Meanwhile, Archer Reid's 2025 campaign is over after a toe injury sustained in the first quarter against Adelaide.
Crow flying as forward edges closer to return
Adelaide will hope Max Michalanney will make himself available for the first final as he overcomes a hamstring injury.
Michalanney hasn't played since Round 20 but will resume training next week.
"Max has been running really well and been hitting some really good speeds,” Adelaide General Manager High Performance Darren Burgess said.
"He'll be involved in training next week and should be available (for selection) shortly after that."

Young forward Josh Rachele continues on his path to recovery from a knee injury.
"Josh Rachele will get his light brace off this week and he'll be on the AlterG treadmill shortly after that," Burgess said.
"We're not really in a position to give an exact time frame yet, but we're confident he'll return to play at some point this season."
James Peatling will be a watch for Saturday's blockbuster against Collingwood after he was subbed off with a corked thigh.
Power out for Port Adelaide recruit
Port Adelaide forward Jack Lukosius will miss the final two games of the season after the club revealed he "tweaked his calf" late in the loss to Fremantle.

Emerging winger Jase Burgoyne will join him on the sidelines as he recovers from a plantaris tendon injury, while ruckman Ivan Soldo is currently in concussion protocols.
Defender Ryan Burton may feature in the final match of the season, but is pushing hard to return from a knee injury.
Bombers skipper undergoes surgery
Essendon captain Zach Merrett has had successful hand surgery to repair a fractured metacarpal in his hand sustained in the loss to Geelong.

Merrett is set to play his 250th game, but is now in doubt to feature again in 2025.
The club is "optimistic" that he will return in Round 24 against Carlton, but will have another opportunity to reach the milestone against Gold Coast following the round.
