Port Adelaide will be without three key players for its all important clash with North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.

Brad Ebert, who will miss his first game after playing 108 in a row since crossing from the Eagles at the end of 2011, plus Nathan Krakouer and Tom Jonas have all been ruled out by the club.

Ebert suffered a bruised lung after a heavy fall in a marking contest during the Power's loss to Hawthorn in Round 16.

“Brad won’t play, which is a disappointing thing, but player welfare and safety first is the most important thing for us,” Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley told RSN Radio.

“He trained (this week), but he got a really severe knock to his ribs and some bruising (on his lung).

“It’s not an area we’re going to risk, and Brad’s pushed hard to play because he hasn’t missed a game in his time at Port Adelaide. He’ll be a significant out for us.”

Meanwhile, Jonas will miss the match after suffering a hamstring injury at training on Wednesday, while Krakouer will miss the match to attend a family funeral.
