No players moved clubs on Friday, but that didn't stop trades coming through.
A trifecta of pick swaps will cause a ripple effect through the entire competition, due mainly to the Hawthorn-Carlton deal.
Clayton Oliver was once again thrust into the limelight following another curious update while an out-of-favour Lion is hoping to move.
Here's all the latest trade news from day five of the 2024 AFL Trade Period...
Star Dee's bold move to leave club
Melbourne midfielder Clayton Oliver is reportedly willing to accept a reduced salary to join Geelong during the trade period.
The Demons have been adamant that Oliver will be at the club in 2025, with list manager Tim Lamb and president Brad Green showing their strong stance on the matter.
However, amid heavy speculation of a move down the highway, a report has indicated that the contracted Dee, according toย The Age's Sam McLure, is open to reducing his $1.3 million per year salary, which could make a transfer more feasible.

The Barrass-Baker saga
Hawthorn's trading of Pick 14 to Carlton - for a future first and second-round pick - has left wreckage in its wake, causing a ripple effect through the rest of the competition.
The confirmed move puts the move of Tom Barrass from West Coast to the Hawks in jeopardy, while Richmond's Liam Baker appears more up for grabs than ever before, with Fremantle still alive in the race.
New Eagles coach Andrew McQualter admitted that if a deal couldn't be struck for the contracted premiership defender, that he'd be "rapt" to see him at the club.
However, it is believed that the deal is far from dead.
Yes the Barrass trade looks different now, but it remains very much alive.
Hawthorn now has four 2025 picks across the first two rounds. Therefore, more assets to entice the Eagles, who like the idea of bolstering next year's draft hand. @FootyonNine @traderadio

Pies wary of rivals' pursuit of Suns' prized pick
Collingwood is one of multiple clubs after Gold Coast's prized Pick 13 as it looks to reshuffle the board.
The Pies are hopeful that the selection would help unlock an array of moves that ultimately see the club land Dan Houston but see off Joe Richards (Port Adelaide) and John Noble (Gold Coast) while holding a handy selection in this year's draft.
However, it doesn't seem as straightforward as it previously was, with the Suns admitting it had multiple offers for the selection.
"It is getting complicated and messy at stages, so there is a lot to work through," Collingwood list manager Justin Leppitsch said.
Melbourne has attempted to swoop in on the Pies and snatch the prized Suns selection, offering a future first-round pick and Pick 28 for Pick 13.
Now it's a four-way race for the @GoldCoastSUNS Pick 13...
Melb: F1 & 2nd rounder (this year)
Syd: 19 & 22
Dogs: F1
Coll: Noble & F1 for 13 & 23The @sydneyswans are in a similar position to GC. They have elite 2025 academy talent, so are more interested in next year's draftโฆ

Hawks, Carlton bombshell pick swap
Hawthorn and Carlton have entered into a pick swap that will shake up the entire trade period.
The Hawks moved on its Pick 14 in this year's draft for the Blues' 2025 first and second-round selections.
It was widely tipped that Pick 14 would be central to acquiring West Coast defender Tom Barrass and would then be used to lure Liam Baker from Richmond.
However, it was reported that the Hawks weren't keen to wait around and blew up that particular deal.
On the other side of the coin, Carlton got its wish of getting a second first-round selection in this year's draft, which they could use to snatch Dan Houston from Collingwood's grasp or select a gun draft prospect.

Crows, Giants haggle over Peatling price
Adelaide is inching closer to signing on the dotted line for GWS midfielder James Peatling.
It's been reported that the Giants want Pick 46 in this year's draft and a future second-round for Peatling.
The Crows are willing to send those selections over but would like a later pick to mitigate the deal.
Nevertheless, the trade is advancing.

Kangaroos on Parker, Houston plays
North Melbourne has been clear in its intention to bring in Luke Parker and Dan Houston during this trade period.
The Kangaroos and Sydney are currently haggling over what is a fair trade for Parker, with the latter rejecting an offer of Pick 62.
It is understood that the Swans want a second-round pick for the midfielder, but a middle ground will be found by deadline day.
As for Houston, North Melbourne list manager Brady Rawlings didn't mince his words when he stated his interest.
โYeah, I'd say we are in the mix. We are really keen to bring him into the football club," Rawlings said.

Brisbane, Blues pick swap
In the second confirmed trade, Brisbane and Carlton shook hands over a swapping of picks that saw the 2024 premiers land more draft capital.
The Lions secured Picks 34 and 66 but handed over its Pick 73 and 2025's second-round selection.
Brisbane would be satisfied in its dealing of gaining more draft capital to land Levi Ashcroft and Sam Marshall, especially given the pair come at a 20 per cent discount due to their links to the club.

Lions, Tigers pick swap
Brisbane and Richmond engaged in a pick swap that saw the latter earn an extra selection in the first round.
The Tiger secured Pick 20 in the exchange and sent back Picks 32, 42, 43 and 45.
The Lions are attempting to garner enough draft capital to land both Ashcroft and Marshall, who are both tipped to be bid on during the first round of next month's National Draft.

Lion cub makes trade request
Brisbane youngster Harry Sharp has opted to explore his options as reports have indicated discussions have been opened with Melbourne regarding a potential trade.
Sharp's aerobic prowess is a powerful feature of his game, but given the strength of the Lions squad, it has rarely been seen at AFL level.
As a result, the Demons are looking into bringing the 21-year-old to Victoria despite being contracted for next year.

Untried Swan set to depart
Sydney small forward Jacob Konstanty is expected to be delisted by the club as he currently waits in limbo for a new contract.
Konstanty was taken with Pick 20 in the 2022 National Draft but has yet to debut for the successful club, falling behind the likes of Tom Papley, Will Hayward, Sam Wicks and Caiden Cleary.
It is understood that the 19-year-old could be left without a deal for 2025, prompting rival clubs to eye off the Victorian as a delisted free agent.
Multiple clubs were interested in Konstanty during his draft year, and could be a potential steal as a delisted free agent.
