Depth Hawthorn ruckman Ned Reeves has reportedly been eyed by Victorian powerhouses Collingwood and Carlton as a potential trade target in the upcoming off-season.
Both the Pies and Blues have a lack of support in the ruck department, especially the latter, who appear to be planning for life after Tom De Koning, who is expected to join St Kilda as a free agent.
This leaves the duties to Marc Pittonet and Hudson O'Keeffe.
Craig McRae has relied heavily on star tall Darcy Cameron, while using Mason Cox sporadically and forward-ruck Daniel McStay.
Project talls Oscar Steene and Iliro Smit have yet to debut for Collinhwood, although the former has been listed as an emergency on multiple occasions.

Cameron has reportedly fielded interest from clubs in his home state, Western Australia, and while a deal beyond 2026 has yet to be signed, it forces clubs to raise the question.
The interest in Reeves, however, which was reported by Herald Sun journalist Jon Ralph, comes as he looks for more opportunities after falling by the wayside under Sam Mitchell.
Reeves played a career-best 21 matches in 2023, but since then, he has featured only five times for the Hawks, biding his time in the VFL.
Mitchell has also opted to select the athletic Max Ramsden, while Mabior Chol more often than not locks down the second ruck position.
The reintroduction of Mitch Lewis to the senior side, and the emergence of Calsher Dear have also pushed Reeves further down the rankings.
The Hawks also made their intentions clear when re-signing star ruckman Lloyd Meek to a four-year extension, locking him away until the end of 2029.
