The best part about entering new footy season is that it's a fresh slate - every club starts from zero.

Optimism is high as fans relish in the prospect of their club making some form of improvement on last year, whether that's contending for a premiership, returning to September action, or seeing young players blossom into genuine superstars to push a rebuild forward.

Whether they've just won back-to-back premierships or are coming off a one-win campaign, each club has something to look forward to next year.

So, here's one thing your favourite club should be excited about entering the new year.

The Saints' treasure trove of salary cap room was unleashed to its maximum potential in the 2025 off-season as the club builds around its superstar Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera. After securing his talents to a two-year deal, the Moorabbin-based outfit acquired athletic ruck Tom De Koning, thriving backman Jack Silvagni and improved the class of their midfield and forward line with the additions of Sam Flanders and Liam Ryan respectively.

The expectation for Ross Lyon's men is to be in the finals at a bare minimum, but with how this list is organised, Saints fans would be hoping for a lot more than a Wildcard Round appearance.

Regardless, the club is surely entering its next phase of success and the thought of being a side to be reckoned with on a weekly basis is as thrilling of a thought a Saints fan could have had since 2023.
