North Melbourne is expected to replace star midfielder Finn O'Sullivan as the youngster suffered a broken jaw in the Good Friday win over Carlton.
O'Sullivan underwent surgery on Tuesday, with the Kangaroos yet to provide a return timeline.
Teammates Toby Pink will need to pass a fitness test after sustaining a knock on his knee.
"Post-match, Toby was put in a brace for management of that knock as best-practice recovery protocol," White said.
"He had a run today without any limitations and will expect to train Thursday and be available to play this week."
Gold Coast star Christian Petracca could be pushing for an earlier return from a hamstring injury to face Sydney this weekend.
