Melbourne youngster Clayton Oliver has avoided a ban but has been fined by the Match Review Panel for his sling tackle on Port Adelaide’s Aaron Young at the weekend.

Oliver was charged with rough conduct, with the incident graded as careless conduct with low impact to the head.

In summary, he can accept a $1,500 sanction, which can be reduced to a $1,000 with an early guilty plea.
