Fremantle tall Mason Cox still has plenty more to give, and his new teammates are well aware of the "pressure" he is applying on spots.

Cox crossed to the Dockers and reunited with Justin Longmuir after Collingwood delisted him following the 2025 season.

The American Pie played 139 games over 11 seasons, but was adamant he still had more to give, especially if that meant helping the next generation through.

The shift to Fremantle attracted a lot of attention due to their ruck and key forward stocks, but according to Patrick Voss, Cox could play a significant role in the 2026 lineup.

"He's (Cox) been good. He's loud, good to play with, brings energy, he's obviously played a lot of football, a lot of time in the system, but he's adjusting to our new system," Voss said.

"He wants to learn, he's asking questions, he's good for our young guys. He's been unbelievable for our group; he kicks his snags, he gets up and about, so he's been great so far.

"I love playing with him in the forward line.

"100% I think pressure is a great thing. I think the more we can have pressure coming up pushes us. It's great competition and pushes us out in training."

Cox will have to come up against Luke Jackson and Sean Darcy, while the forward line consists of Josh Treacy, Jye Amiss and Voss.

But the Fremantle 'Prancing Pony' refused to place limits on what the senior team will look like when they face Geelong in Round 1 at GMHBA Stadium.

"We've got some gun ruckmen, and who knows what it's going to look like," Voss added.

"Coxy, as he showed today, he can play forward, which is awesome.

"Another string we've got to our bow, so who knows what the mix will look like come Round 1."
