Another long-term injury has further soured Port Adelaide's start to 2026.
Key forward Ollie Lord will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during Port Adelaide's SANFL Good Friday match against South Adelaide.
Head of medical services Tim O'Leary said the club was devastated for their 24-year-old forward.
"We are shattered for Ollie to receive this news," O'Leary said.
"Ollie had a really strong pre-season and was working hard to put himself back in contention for AFL selection.
"It's a tough injury for any player, but we know Ollie will take on his rehab with his characteristic positive attitude, and we will all be here to support him along the way."
Lord, who had kicked 2.1 before injury struck, will meet with a surgeon in the coming days to have his leg repaired.
After 33 goals across his first 35 games, Lord would have been hoping to cement his place back in the Power line-up this year, alongside star Mitch Georgiades and second-year tall Jack Whitlock.
Lord will join captain Connor Rozee (hamstring), key defender Esava Ratugolea (knee), forward Sam Powell-Pepper (knee), swingman Todd Marshall (ankle) and Josh Sinn (shoulder) on the sidelines.
The 197cm forward was taken with the 49th pick in the 2020 AFL Draft. The same year as when the Power won the minor premiership.
