Former GWS and Melbourne defender Adam Tomlinson has signed for Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League club Sorrento.
The 32-year-old played 185 games in a 13-season career which wrapped up when the Demons delisted him at the end of 2024.
After a consistent stint as a foundation member of the Giants, Tomlinson's time at Melbourne was interrupted by persistent injury.
He was then linked briefly with Collingwood this season ahead of the Mid-Season Draft as he continued to play strong footy in the backline for North Melbourne VFL, featuring in the VFL's team of the year squad.
He was locally aligned to Sorrento in 2025, playing one game, a 43-disposal masterclass against Pines, and will play at the club full time in 2026.
“Adam is an incredible athlete who sets exceptionally high standards, and his on-field leadership is something we value immensely,” a club statement read in part.
“He played 185 AFL games across GWS and Melbourne, stands at 6'4 and has outstanding running capacity for a player his size with the versatility to play both in defence and through the midfield.”
Sorrento finished eighth in the 10-team competition in 2025, but was just two wins outside finals.
