Former second round draft selection Will Kelly will return home following the conclusion of his AFL journey, signing with his junior club Mansfield in the Goulburn Valley Football League for the 2026 season.

Kelly was selected by the Collingwood Magpies in the 2018 National Draft with Pick 28, but did not debut until 2020.

His struggles with health prevented him from returning to the senior side that year, and ultimately, he struggled to have a crack at the top level consistently, amassing just five AFL games before the club delisted him at the end of the 2023 season.

Kelly's final two games for Collingwood came as the tactical sub, with a majority of his last season at Olympic Park spent in the VFL.

He would sign with Sydney's VFL team in 2024 before taking a year off football in 2025.

Kelly's addition will boost Mansfield's premiership hopes for 2026, with the club finishing third on the 2025 GVFL ladder.

The Eagles ultimately fell short of the league's premiership, knocked out in the preliminary final by Rochester by 26 points.
