Lions skipper Tom Rockliff to challenge striking charge

Brisbane captain Tom Rockliff will challenge his sanction for striking at the AFL Tribunal tonight.

Rockliff was fined $1,500 for striking West Coast’s Matt Priddis during the Lions’ loss to the Eagles on Saturday.

The 26-year-old could have accepted a $1,000 fine with an early guilty plea, but risks being fined the full $1,500 if his appealĀ is unsuccessful.

All other Round 13 charges were accepted.
