Brisbane's VFL side has been hit with a post-game points deduction following the AFL's investigation into their Round 17 clash against GWS at Blacktown International Sportspark last Saturday.
Following the final siren of what was then a 76-58 victory for the travelling Lions, Mitch Hahn's side saw nine points shaved from their total score after it was found that Brisbane had fielded 19 men for a portion of the fourth quarter.
As expressed within a statement issued by the AFL, the visitors had an extra player involved directly in the play for four minutes and 19 seconds of the final term.
In accordance with the laws of the game, the Lions had the entirety of their score (1.3.9) for the fourth quarter retrospectively.
However, given their dominance across the opening three quarters, Brisbane was still able to walk away from the fixture with the four points, with the updated final score reading 9.13.67 to the Giants' 8.10.58.
The Lions were also hit with a $1000 fine by the league's brass.
Brisbane will now turn their full focus to their Round 18 derby with the Suns, scheduled to take place at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Hahn's pride will enter the all-Queensland clash having won their last five consecutive fixtures and sitting on the ladder's third rung.
