Star Adelaide youngsters Mitch McGovern and Jake Lever have been the speculation of countless trade rumours this season.

The pair are both out of contract and appear destined for greatness as their careers continue.

As expected, several clubs are chasing both players and are preparing to throw plenty of cash at the youngsters to pry them away from Adelaide and secure them to long term deals.

While we are still unlikely to officially know for some time whether either player will re-sign with the Crows or chase the cash elsewhere, ex-Adelaide star Andrew Jarman believes Lever is as good as gone.

"This is how I think it will pan out, and this is the intel I’ve received in the past 48 hours," Jarman said on Triple M radio on Thursday.

“Young Jakey Lever, a lot of publicity (on) this young talent.

“He’s already packed up. He’s going to go to the Melbourne Football Club. They’re not far off from playing for premierships.

"I’m telling you now, he is goneski. And he’s goneski for a lot of money. He’s going for the money.

“You can’t blame the young man because that’s why he’s going, he’s going for the money. The money is magnificent."

However, Jarman had some positive news for Crows' fans on McGovern.

"Mitch McGovern...(I’m) very confident he’s going to recommit to the Crows, which is really good news," Jarman said.

"Because why would you want to go to a basket case like Fremantle, which have offered a lot more dough and under a coach that has still got the same game plan that he had when he was with St Kilda?

"He can play that fourth of fifth forward, with ‘Tex’, with ‘JJ', with Tommy Lynch...he goes to Fremantle and becomes that number one target, he’s going to get smashed."

Western Coast and Fremantle have both linked with a move for the West Australian born forward. He burst onto the scene last year, kicking 32 goals in 23 games and has kicked 17 goals in 11 games this season.
