Leading West Australian sports journalist Digby Beacham joins Mark Stevans on Zero Hanger's The Outer Wing, brought to you by Tabtouch, to celebrate Fremantle's impressive start to the season.

"I think this is a very even and deep squad," Beacham said. "They're scoring heavily and they're playing the brand of football which a lot of people have wanted them to play. The first two quarters against both Geelong and Melbourne, you don't get much better than that."

Beacham was particularly excited to talk about the efforts of midfield forward Shai Bolton, saying the Fremantle are a "considerably better football team with him a part of it."

"One thing with Shai is he's a bit of a free spirit when you play him," Beacham said. "When Justin Longmuir and Fremantle were looking into Shai Bolton, Justin was urged, by a few people, if you're going to get Shai, you need to remove all restrictions. You let Shai be Shai."

This unrestrictive coaching tactic seems to be working, as Bolton scored two goals to go alongside his whooping 32 disposals last weekend, the highest number he's achieved since joining the Dockers ahead of last year.

And it's not just his statistics that make him a respected player.

"He's one of the real senior Indigenous boys there now," Beacham added. "A lot of the boys look up to him, in the locker room and out on the ground."

While Beacham admits that it may be too early to call 'Flagmantle', he does confidently say that he's "all in with Fremantle."
