The cavalry is coming to Greater Western Sydney, and not a moment too soon after a disappointing loss to Collingwood on Friday night.

Sitting on a 1-3 record, and with a stack of soldiers left bandaged on the sidelines, the Giants will be hoping to have some key figures back in the starting 23 when they play Richmond in the Barossa Valley in two weeks' time (a bye in-between) for Gather Round.

However, GWS coach Adam Kingsley said he believes the Giants' struggles are down to connection rather than missing players.

"I will sit here and say our issues aren't personnel based," he said.

"It is great to have (players returning) and they are really great players, yep, but we are good enough to be better than what we are showing at the moment.

"We are not quite getting our connection done and we are not quite getting a full game of centre bounce. We got half a game, we got half a game last week, we need a full game out of centre bounce. They are our issues, not personnel.

"I still think we had a good enough team to compete and win tonight."

The Giants are expecting to welcome back a slew of players with forwards Brent Daniels, Toby Bedford and Aaron Cadman hoping to feature against the Tigers.

Kingsley is also hoping key defenders Jack Buckley and Sam Taylor (less likely) will return to strengthen GWS' defence.

Winger Ryan Angwin isn't expected to miss any game time, despite bursting an ear drum during Friday's match against Collingwood.
