The 2017 season is officially the most unpredictable over the past 10 years.
At 3.4 upsets per round (based on TAB odds), it's clearly upsets galore in the AFL, with the 2010 (2.9) and 2009 (2.5) seasons a far way off in terms of upsets each weekend.
Collingwood are one of the sides that have helped make this happen, and are the most frustrating team to watched based on expectation.
According to data from the TAB, Collingwood have won just five of their past 15 games as favourites, the worst record of any side in the competition over their last 15.
Adelaide, Geelong, North Melbourne and St Kilda are all sides you'd back to win the games they should, as the quartet have won 13 of their last 15 as favourite.
When you look at the reverse, it's the Eagles that come out on top.
In their last 15 matches as the underdog, West Coast have won a staggering nine games, showing just how impressive they've been with their backs against the wall.
The Western Bulldogs come in second with eight, with four of those coming in last year's finals series.
Coupled with their ability to win the games they should, the Roos just can't seem to find a win against the run of play, with just one win from their past 15 as underdogs.
