Giants star Toby Greene is set to miss his side’s preliminary final clash against Collingwood next Saturday after receiving a one-match ban from Match Review Officer Michael Christian.

Christian cited Greene for making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the eye region of Neale, assessing the incident as intentional with low impact and high contact.

Greene appeared to touch the face of Lachie Neale while he was at the bottom of a pack during GWS’s semi final win over Brisbane on Saturday night.

It left the Lions star grabbing his eye after the incident.

It comes just one week after Greene was handed a $7,500 fine for a similar incident involving Bulldogs midfielder Marcus Bontempelli.

The Giants will likely challenge the ban at the tribunal.
