The Gold Coast Suns have reportedly offered Jamie Elliott a three-year contract in the hopes of luring the Collingwood forward north for the remainder of his career, according to 9 News' Tom Morris.

The Suns have been swift in making an official play for the high-flying star, who has been strongly linked to a move to Queensland for much of his career, having grown up in the state and with existing family ties there.

With Collingwood's season coming to a dramatic halt in the preliminary final against Brisbane last Saturday, Gold Coast have launched their official chase for Elliott's signature, though reports from early August listed their interest in the 2023 premiership star.

The reported contract from Morris is an improvement on Collingwood's two-year offer to the 33-year-old, which senior coach Craig McRae confirmed had been tabled to Elliott following the Magpies' post-season exit.

Elliott, who will be 36 years old when the reported contract from the Suns expires, has had a career season in 2025, kicking 60 goals for a rejuvenated Collingwood side that returned to the top four after missing finals in 2024.
