North Melbourne is reportedly looking at acquiring Essendon midfielder Elijah Tsatas, in a bid to bolster their youth stocks.

The Bombers are in an era of change, with multiple players assessing their futures after a disappointing season.

Captain Zach Merrett is reportedly agitated with the club's direction going forward, and is being sounded out by rivals.

Sam Draper is understood to be heading to Brisbane or Adelaide, while Jordan Ridley wants to join him at the Lions, if he goes there.

Ben Hobbs is out of contract, while Bombers veterans Darcy Parish and Kyle Langford are turning their heads.

As for Tsatas, who is contracted for next year, he has been starved of senior opportunities, playing only 16 games in three seasons after being taken with Pick 5 in the 2022 National Draft.

His VFL form has warranted senior selection, but Brad Scott has often left him out of the final 23.

Age journalist Sam McClure says that the Kangaroos are looking to bring Tsatas to Arden Street.

"Parish looking elsewhere, Langford looking elsewhere, and they are trying to offload Tsatas and Hobbs," McClure said on the Tradies podcast.

"I think North will (look at Tsatas). I think North are in for Tsatas."

Tsatas could join fellow 2022 draftees Harry Sheezel and George Wardlaw, whilst also adding to their improving mix of on-ballers such as Luke Davies-Uniacke, Tom Powell, Finn O'Sullivan and Colby McKercher.

The Bombers have already farewelled Dylan Shiel, Alwyn Davey Jr and Jye Menzie, and are expected to make more list cullings in the coming weeks.

AFL Media reported that MSD prospect Liam McMahon and SSP signing Jaxon Prior will extend their time at the Hangar for another 12 months.
