Bombers forward Jake Stringer couldn't be anymore excited for the new season.

The pre-season injury list has mounted for the Bombers in recent times with as many as eight players not back at full training as of yet.

But Stringer has been happy with his own work over the summer, having spent more time with the forwards.

“I’m borderline flying at the minute,” he said on SEN Breakfast.

“Obviously not being injured is a massive part and I don’t think I’ve missed a session this whole pre-season – I’d be probably in the top one or two at the club who hasn’t missed.”

“Last year’s pre-season was pretty good but this year has been a new level. “I’ve done a lot of work forward which has been quite good, because the last sort of year and a bit I’ve done a lot of work in the midfield group.

“I’ve just been honing in on my craft as a forward.”

The Bombers will be looking to get healthy in a hurry with round one just around the corner.
