Hawthorn is reportedly "all in" on Port Adelaide midfielder Zak Butters and West Coast wunderkind Harley Reid as they look to bolster their list at the end of the season.

The pair are both contracted until the end of 2026, but according to Channel 9's Tom Morris, the Hawks are prepared to ruffle some feathers.

It is understood that Reid is looking at staying in Western Australia long term, with reports indicating that a $24 million over 11 years deal was discussed between his management and the Eagles.

As for the Power, they have also offered Butters the "biggest deal in AFL history" to sure up its future under new coach Josh Carr.

Butters would be a free agent next year and is expected to remain in Alberton until then.

However, the looming pursuit of St Kilda's Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera could see an opening for the 24-year-old to return to Victoria.

"Hawthorn is all in on both (Reid and Butters)," Morris said on Footy Classified.

"The answer back on Zak Butters so far is no. It's not stopping the Hawks having a crack. They're going to keep having a go.

"In the understanding that, if Wanganeen-Milera gets to Port, maybe there might be half a chance for Butters to go.

"That's one to keep an eye on this trade period."

The Hawks have shown interest in Reid's teammate Oscar Allen, albeit Brisbane is poised to snap up the key forward.

Hawthorn's interest comes as James Worpel weighs up his future at the club, with Geelong coming hard for his service, while Will Day's persistent foot problems could see a vacancy in the midfield.
