Harley Reid has provided his West Coast supporter base with little confidence that he will remain at the club beyond 2028.
Reid signed a fresh two-year extension in August amid heavy interest from Victoria, including Hawthorn and Essendon.
But talks of a move back to his home state will not die down, and if anything is to go by in his latest interview, rivals will continue to swoop.
"When you sit down with your close ones and your circle of trust, you try to find the right decision," Reid said on Channel 9.
"Either way, you've got to do your time, and for me, it just wasn't the right time, and I wanted to stay.
For the first time, Harley Reid speaks on his decision to re-sign @WestCoastEagles and resisting the temptation to head home to Victoria.

"I look forward to seeing what happens."
Reid burst onto the AFL scene with Pick 1 in the stacked 2023 AFL Draft, and made his presence known immediately at the Eagles.
He played 20 games in his maiden season and was a significant contributor to the lowly side.
However, his performance arguably dipped in 2025, given the extra attention he received from the opposition.
